good tires. I'm at school right now and I'm not sure where my Z is. On my way to school this morning I accelerated out of a turn as usual, not speeding at all, and I guess the rear end hadn't straightend out yet. I lost traction and figured no big deal, just ease off the gas, tap the brakes, and I'll be fine. Well, I wasn't fine, the roads were fairly wet and my tires did not regain traction. I spun about 45 degrees to the left then back to the right then I over corrected and went back to the left doing a complete 360 in the middle of a 4 lane road. I ended up slamming into the curb with my front left wheel. I tried to hit the curb with the wheel perpendicular so I would just go over it, well no dice. My Stillen GTZ-R front bumper is now folded up and mangled, my driver side wheel is at about a 15 degree angle with the ground. Needless to say the car is f'ed up pretty bad. I called my dad asap and told him what had happened, he told me he would call a tow truck for me. So i jumped in with a buddy of mine and wen the rest of the way to school. So now as I sit here in study hall, I have no clue as to the extent of the damage, I only had about 15 seconds to look at it before I had to move it off the road. I drove it about 20 feet to pull off into a little driveway thing, and the whole way it was making a horrible grinding noise. So I'm guessing that my axle is as good as gone, and my bumper well, I think it might be time to go J-Spec, a lot more ground clearence. So I don't even know what happened after that, my car could still be there, or it might be at a shop, of it might be at my house, I'll know all this in a few hours. The thing that puzzled me the most is right when i hit the curb my car shut off, it just died. The airbag did not deploy, which has me concerned because I hit pretty hard, hard enough to send my ~40 lbs backpack into the dash. I don't think there is any engine damage or anything too major, as I hit with mostly the corner. I think after I get all the bills paid for (insurance deductable, and all the parts) I will get some new wheels and better tires. I am also going to have the body shop fix everything that is wrong with the body all at once, so I'm probably looking at around 3-4 k when all is said and done. So much for my Labree exhaust and Ashspec ECU, they will ahve to wait a while. I'll post pictures as soon as I get home.
